PRE TOURNAMENT PRESS RELEASE

 

Rockford, Illinois  The Illinois Women’s Golf Association will hold its 42nd Illinois Junior Girls Golf Championship at challenging Aldeen G.C. in Rockford, Illinois August 3rd and 4th.  

 

The 81 player field has talented Shannyn Vogler from Moline, returning to defend her crown for the third straight year!  She will be challenged by several state wide, tournament experienced girls, including several Rockford competitors.  These young ladies are some of the best in the State sporting very low handicaps.  

 

The championship winner will be determined by 36 holes of stroke play over 2 days.  Players will be flighted by gross score following the first day of play.  Tee times will begin at 8 am both days.  Spectators are welcome. 

 

This championship is included in both the AJGA Performance Based Entry System and the Junior Golf Scoreboard ranking database.
